A Commissioner at Work — Protecting Our Land & Quality of Life
Meet Your Commissioner
“Experience counts. Since you first elected me, I have used my 30-year investment career to ensure your tax dollars are spent wisely and our land is protected. I ask for your vote on May 19.”
Greg brings real-world financial expertise to Harris County government. As a CPA and CFA with over 30 years in the investment industry, he knows how to read a budget, protect taxpayer dollars, and plan for the long term. He believes in limited government, transparent spending, and putting residents first — not developers.
Greg believes a commissioner has one job: represent the people. Not his own opinions. Not special interests. Not political ambitions. You.
Greg's personal opinion takes a back seat to the needs and voices of the residents he serves. When he sits at that table, he's carrying your concerns — not his own agenda.
Every decision has consequences that ripple out for years. Greg is committed to looking beyond the immediate and weighing what's best for District 3 — today, next year, and a generation from now.
A good commissioner solves today's problems without creating tomorrow's. Greg will fight for solutions that address what residents need right now while protecting the future of our community.
It's about doing the job the way it was meant to be done — as a servant of the people.
Proven Leadership & Fiscal Results
Maintained the 9.13 Millage Rate while fighting to control spending. Greg has never voted for a tax increase.
Revitalized the Northwest Harris Business Park. Hired an Economic Development Director to broaden the tax base and reduce the burden on homeowners.
Continued financial support for law enforcement, EMS, and volunteer fire departments. Expanded 911 coverage and fully funded law enforcement.
Hired a new County Manager and secured SPLOST without raising taxes.
CPA and CFA experience focused on long-term financial stability — not short-term politics.
Committed to a comprehensive land use plan that respects our history while planning for the future.
Supporting wider lot minimums to protect the rural character of our community. No more cramming houses onto narrow strips of land.
Standing against developers who bulldoze fields of trees for profit. Fighting for development standards that grow the economy while preserving District 3's character.
Protecting What Matters
District 3 is under threat. Developers are clearing entire fields of trees — wiping out decades of natural growth overnight — just to maximize lot counts and profit margins. Greg Gantt says enough is enough.
Economic growth is welcome, but not at the cost of everything that makes our community worth living in. Greg will push for development standards that require:
Clear-cutting every tree. Zero setbacks. Packed subdivisions with no green space. Developers who take the profit and leave residents with the consequences.
Developments that keep trees standing. Natural buffers for privacy. Open space families can enjoy. Growth that strengthens — not destroys — our community.
